The PRENDA Vote Breakdown

Yesterday, the U.S. House Representatives voted on The Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA). In short, this bill would have prohibited abortions based upon gendera noble and necessary goal. You’d think that such a proposal would have sailed through the House, but it needed a two-thirds vote since it was proposed under suspension of the rules. This allowed for liberals to band together and defeat the bill, despite the conservative majority.
