What I took away after reading the Federal Appeals Courts ruling is, not that it agree to any degree with the plaintiff(s) against DOMA but rather “traditionally”
and on a precedented level all social issues have been decided at the state level and that in its’ view the Federal Government had no authority to place restrictions on the recognition of same sex marriage at the Federal Level even though those representatives elected to U.S. Congress speaks for the nation. I completely disagree because it is the majority’s consent of the Governed that this nation’s Republic rules through a Democracy Style Government and the authority lies with the People to authorize such actions through it elected officials and the collective voice of the States.
