Back in 1968 the rock band, Paul Revere and the Raiders belted out the lyrics “too much talk and not enough action.” Since then, that phrase has been used all kinds of ways. But when it comes to the sin of abortion, our society is way heavy on the talk side and light on the action. That’s the main reason abortion is still legal—too few people are willing to do anything about it.
On Wednesday, conservative leaders from across the country signed the Mount Vernon Statement—an important document that recommits the conservative movement to constitutional principles. It is the latest effort to bring social, economic, and national security conservatives together under one banner, just like Ronald Reagan did.
An effort is underway to end abortion in America. It’s 40 Day for Life, a very effective campaign that has already made advances against abortion in other states. Right now, 40 Days for Life is looking for Arkansans who will pray, fast, and join in vigil’s and community-outreach programs to help save the lives of America’s unborn children.
