“Protect Life Act” In U.S. Senate

A bill to prevent abortion funding from being provided as part of the new federal healthcare law is stalled in the United States Senate.

H.R. 358 passed the U.S. House a little over two weeks ago. It is now in the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance.

40% of Students on Lottery Scholarship Do Not Return to College

According a report from the Department of Higher Education, 40% of the traditional freshmen college students receiving financial aid from the Arkansas Lottery did not return to college this fall.

Credit hour and GPA requirements were cited among the reasons students were unable to maintain their lottery scholarships.
