Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee began confirmation hearings for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Judge Sonia Sotomayor. Some people believe her confirmation may be a “done deal,” but she does have opposition. Some of it, like the National Rifle Association, is pretty substantial.
