On October 4, 1992, pro-lifers peacefully rallied in Little Rock as part of a nationwide Life Chain.
Pro-lifers stood 6-8 feet apart from each other along busy thoroughfares for an hour.
The Little Rock Life Chain formed a giant cross that intersected at Markham and Mississippi streets and measured approximately two by five miles.
Organizers Lori Upson, Bobbi Patterson, Rose Mimms, and Jody Duke reported that over 100 churches supported their efforts in the Little Rock area.
An estimated 6,000 pro-lifers reportedly participated in the Life Chain in Little Rock.
Life Chains were also held in Fayetteville, Rogers, Bentonville, Camden, Mountain Home, Yellville, Siloam Springs, Texarkana, Walnut Ridge, Hope, Arkadelphia and Ashdown.
Family Council was pleased to be part of this historic event.
The Life Chain still is held every October. This year’s Life Chain will take place Sunday, October 6. Click here to learn more.
