The Biden Administration’s decision to expand abortion-inducing drugs continues to highlight the importance of Arkansas’ pro-life laws.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently opted to let pharmacies sell abortion drugs, and the U.S. Department of Justice reportedly issued an opinion claiming that abortion drugs can be delivered through the mail, provided that the sender does not know that they will be used illegally.

The Biden Administration had previously relaxed safety restrictions that prevented the RU-486 abortion drugs from being delivered by mail in America.

All of this shows that Arkansas’ lawmakers were forward-thinking in prohibiting abortion and restricting RU-486 abortion drugs.

Act 562 of 2021 by Rep. Sonia Barker (R – Smackover) and Sen. Blake Johnson (R – Corning) prohibits abortion drugs from being delivered by mail in Arkansas.

Now that abortion is prohibited in Arkansas except to save the life of the mother, Act 562 helps prevent people from delivering abortion-inducing drugs for the purpose of performing an illegal abortion.

That’s going to protect women and unborn children in Arkansas and help prevent people from finding away around our laws against abortion.
