Atheists Seek to Stop Pledge of Allegiance in Schools

According to Alliance Defending Freedom, atheists in Massachusetts are suing to ban the Pledge of Allegiance from public schools because they find the pledge offensive:

“Atheist parents and students are seeking to stop recitation of the Pledge in public schools–even though no student is required to recite it–because the atheist students claim to be ‘offended’ by simply hearing the words ‘under God.'”

The people seeking to bar the Pledge from schools lost in lower court earlier, but have appealed the court ruling to Massachusetts’ state Supreme Court.

Ross Perot Foundation Donates $1 Million to Texas Planned Parenthood

Texas lawmakers recently passed legislation to defund Planned Parenthood, but the Perot Foundation has come to the aid of the nation’s largest provider of abortions.

UPI reported that the Ross Perot foundation has supported Planned Parenthood for over 20 years.

It saddens me that Texas billionaire Ross Perot supports Planned Parenthood.

Courts Will Use a Federal Equal Rights Amendment Against Marriage

Anyone who thinks states should consider ratifying the proposed Federal Equal Rights Amendment should look at what just happened in New Mexico.

A judge there took their state’s equal right amendment, worded almost identically to the proposed federal amendment, and used it to allow same-sex marriage in that state.
