Arkansas Senate Passes Informed-Consent Bill for RU-486

Sen. Flippo explains H.B. 1572 in the Arkansas Senate.

On Tuesday the Arkansas Senate passed H.B. 1572 by a vote of 29 to six.

H.B. 1572 is a good, pro-life bill by Rep. Robin Lundstrum (R – Springdale) and Sen. Scott Flippo (R – Mountain Home). The measure previously passed the Arkansas House of Representatives.

As we have written before, H.B. 1572 outlines the informed-consent process for chemical abortion drugs like the RU-486 regimen.

Arkansas’ already has some of the best informed-consent laws for abortion of any state in the country.

However, current laws are geared primarily for surgical abortion procedures. With the rise in chemical abortion drugs like RU-486, Arkansas law needs to address drug-induced abortions as well.

H.B. 1572 will help ensure women get all the facts about chemical abortion — including its risks, its consequences, and its alternatives.

H.B. 1572 will save the lives of unborn children by helping women know their options besides abortion.

The bill now goes to the governor to become law. Read H.B. 1572 Here.

Arkansas Passes Bill Prohibiting Taxpayer Transactions With Abortionists

Sen. Ballinger presents H.B. 1589 to the Arkansas Senate.

On Monday the Arkansas Senate passed H.B. 1589 by a vote of 29 to six. The bill previously passed the Arkansas House of Representatives.

This good bill by Rep. Harlan Breaux (R – Holiday Island) and Sen. Bob Ballinger (R – Ozark) prohibits government entities, including public schools, in Arkansas from engaging in transactions with abortion providers and affiliates of abortion providers.

H.B. 1589 is a good bill that will help ensure that Arkansas does not spend any taxpayer dollars subsidizing abortionists and their affiliates.

The bill now goes to the governor to become law.

Arkansas Legislature Passes Good Bill Restricting Abortion Drugs

Sen. Blake Johnson presents H.B. 1402 to the Arkansas Senate.

On Monday the Arkansas Senate passed H.B. 1402 by a vote of 26 to six. The bill previously passed the Arkansas House.

This good bill by Rep. Sonia Barker (R – Smackover) and Sen. Blake Johnson (R – Corning) updates Arkansas’ restrictions on abortion drugs like RU-486.

In the coming months we expect the Biden/Harris Administration to ease restrictions on abortion-inducing drugs.

H.B. 1402 will help keep restrictions on abortion drugs in place at the state level — even if the federal government changes its regulations.

H.B. 1402 outlines requirements that abortionists must follow in administering abortion-inducing drugs, and it prohibits abortion drugs from being delivered by mail in Arkansas.

It also updates current law to ensure doctors who perform chemical abortions are credentialed to handle abortion complications and can transfer the woman to a hospital if she experiences complications.

H.B. 1402 is a good bill that will protect unborn children from being killed in chemical abortions. It now goes to the governor to become law.
