A pregnancy resource center in Little Rock was destroyed by fire over the weekend, KATV reports.
Sunday evening an accidental fire engulfed the Arkansas Pregnancy Resource Center as a result of maintenance being performed on the roof of the building.
No injuries were reported.
The pregnancy resource center was located directly across the street from Arkansas’ last surgical abortion center.
Arkansas Pregnancy Resource Center posted on Facebook that its office will be closed until further notice as a result of the fire, but it will continue assisting women and families through its state-of-the-art mobile unit.
Pregnancy resource centers provide support for young women with unplanned pregnancies. They offer vital resources and empower women to choose an alternative to abortion. They offer pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, adoption information, and many other valuable services — all free of charge.
