Hot Spring County Passes Pro-Life Resolution

On Tuesday night the Hot Spring County Quorum Court passed a resolution affirming that the county is Pro-Life.

Hot Spring County joins a rapidly growing list of Pro-Life Communities in Arkansas.

Act 392 of 2021 by Rep. Kendon Underwood (R – Cave Springs) and Sen. Gary Stubblefield (R – Branch) recognizes that cities and counties can designate themselves as Pro-Life.

The law also says that Pro-Life Communities can install signs or banners announcing that they are Pro-Life.

In the wake of Act 392’s passage more than two dozen cities and counties in Arkansas have passed resolutions affirming that they are Pro-Life.

To date, Washington, Benton, Crawford, Cleburne, Pope, Jackson, Saline, Faulkner, Perry, Sebastian, Lee, White, Prairie, Searcy, Carrol, Newton, and Boone counties have adopted Pro-Life resolutions — as well as the cities and towns of Marianna, Russellville, Springdale, LaGrange, Moro, Aubrey, Haynes, and Marshall.

As we have said time and again, Arkansans generally believe abortion ought to be either completely illegal or legal only under certain circumstances, and the state’s General Assembly has passed some of the best pro-life laws in America.

In light of that, it is understandable that communities in Arkansas would adopt resolutions affirming that they are Pro-Life.
