40 Days for Life Prayer Campaign Kicks Off This Sunday

Each spring and fall pro-life Americans gather for prayer vigils outside abortion clinics across the country as part of 40 Days for Life.

These are not protests or rallies. They are peaceful assemblies where different people quietly pray each day that abortion will end.

The next 40 Days for Life campaign is just a few days away. You can take part in the prayer vigils outside the surgical abortion clinic in Little Rock.

There will be a kickoff meeting at 3:00 PM this Sunday featuring music, messages from local ministers, and prayer. The event will be held on the sidewalk outside the abortion clinic.

The official 40 Days for Life prayer campaign will last from February 14 – March 25 (Palm Sunday).

A.G. Rejects Recreational Marijuana (Again)

On Wednesday Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge rejected yet another proposal to legalize recreational marijuana.

The measure would have let adults and companies grow, buy, sell, and use marijuana for any reason.

The A.G.’s office rejected it, citing ambiguities in the measure’s text along with similarities to past marijuana proposals her office rejected.

Attorney General Rutledge rejected at least 17 similar measures last year. This is the second recreational marijuana proposal her office has rejected since January 2.

As we have said before, marijuana’s proponents aren’t content with “medical marijuana.” The endgame is — and always has been — full legalization.

Speakers Announced for 2018 Pastor’s Day at the Capitol

We are excited to host Pastor’s Day at the Capitol 2018 on Thursday, February 15, from 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM at the State Capitol Building in downtown Little Rock.

This free, nonpartisan event is open to all pastors, chaplains, church leaders, and their spouses.

Come hear from Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, Pastor Gary Bell of Pine Bluff First Assembly, and Arkansas Representative Fred Allen (D — District 30).

This will be a time to focus on worshiping God, ministering to those in authority, fostering better relationships between you and your legislators, practicing good citizenship, and learning how your congregation can do the same.
