I am pleased to report that our friends across the state have generously donated enough money to pay for two full-page newspaper ads urging Congressman Marion Berry to vote against the health care bill this week. The ads are scheduled to run in Thursday’s Jonesboro Sun and the Paragould Daily Press.
We needed $1,500 to pay for the ads. As of now, over $2,300 has been promised by our friends. This means that we can write a check for the ads today and have about $800 left over. We will set these additional funds apart and use them to oppose this government takeover of health care. We are looking into purchasing additional ads or paying for other efforts against this health care bill.
