Christian Group Booted From University of Michigan

According to InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, the University of Michigan has booted its Asian InterVarsity chapter from campus after it refused to drop its biblically-based requirements for leadership.

The University of Michigan has instituted “a non-discrimination policy” that requires Christian groups to compromise on issues such as homosexuality and others.

OH Abortion Clinic Closes

An abortion clinic in Ohio has closed its doors after previously pledging to stay open.

The clinic was located in Columbus, Ohio, and has officially gone out of business.

Planned Parenthood Sets New Record on Number of Abortions

Planned Parenthood has released a report showing it did a record-setting 333,964 abortions during its 2011-2012 fiscal year.

During that same time, only 2,300 Planned Parenthood customers were referred to adoption agencies.

Estimating that as many as 1 million unborn children are aborted nationwide each year, Planned Parenthood performed at least one out of three abortions in America last year.

Theologians Oppose Government-Imposed “Neutrality” in Prayer

Today, on behalf of several distinguished Christian theologians and scholars, Liberty Institute filed a friend-of-the-court brief in the United States Supreme Court supporting a request for the High Court to hear an important religious freedom case that could determine the future of prayers before legislative bodies throughout the U.S. The theologians seek to overturn the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit’s ruling in the case Galloway v. Town of Greece, which declared the town’s legislative prayers unconstitutional because they were not religiously diverse. A copy of the brief may be found here.
